Free Fiction

From time to time, I post free short fiction online. Here’s a round up of where you can find those pieces, along with spoiler warnings should they tie in to published novels. Should a piece require content warnings, I include them in the linked posts below.

Nothing Noteworthy

A standalone short fiction in which a time traveler and a desperate soul meet on a bridge, and build some bridges of their own.

Raised In Full

Standalone short fiction. A necromancer with a heart of gold and the once-dead love of her life are drawn into conflict with an ancient evil. The smallest and most perfect romance I’ve written to date.

The Little Sister of Sans-Demaine

A whole novella! In which an exiled and voiceless heretic, Sister Marienne, attempts to build a new life for herself on the barren island of Sans-Demaine, while surrounded by the restless and watchful dead.

The House of Ruin and Starlight

A short fiction crossover between my published novels, The Light Between Worlds and A Treason of Thorns. Minimal spoilers, though having read the aforementioned books will only serve to increase your enjoyment of the piece 😉

Winter Between Worlds

A short fiction tie-in to my published novel, The Light Between Worlds, which catches up with a favorite character among readers, Tom Harper. A little spoiler-y, but not in a book-ruining way. Again, having read the novel will enhance the piece, though I think it’s still a pretty read on its own.
